Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour Nights, Full-time travel contract)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Target Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Pay Multipliers: OT / Holiday / Call-Back at 1.1x regular rates; 12 hours
Key Facility Policies & Compliance
- Attendance Policy (Strict 3-Strike Rule): Any contractor absent from a scheduled shift or more than 20 minutes late 3 times will be terminated immediately (exceptions reviewed only for communicable disease or hospitalization with documentation).
- Local Policy: Permanent address within a 35-mile radius is considered local and incurs a 10% rate reduction.
- Rehire Rule: Full-time employees of McLaren are ineligible for contract hire within 6 months of employment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required (travel experience preferred).
- Licensure: Active Michigan RN license verified via LARA and Nursys (license hits require a written explanation for management review).
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
