Description

MRI Technologist

Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–10:00 PM
Experience: 0–6 months of related experience required
Traveler Experience: 1+ year preferred
Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
Required Certification: ARRT-R or ARMRIT
BLS: Required
Preferred Certification: ARRT (MR)
Must-Have Skill: Cardiac MRI
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations according to department protocols.
- Prepare and position patients and set up appropriate coils and monitoring equipment.
- Conduct MRI safety screening for metal objects and contraindicated implants.
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness and send studies to PACS.
- Perform equipment quality control and report discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate patient records, exam documentation, and charges.
- Explain procedures clearly and provide appropriate patient care and support.
