Nursing Supervisor – Night Shift

Position Overview

Provides unit-based nursing leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and nursing staff. Supervises and directs assigned nursing and ancillary personnel while exercising professional judgment, leadership, and independent decision-making.

Ensures patients receive safe, cost-effective, high-quality nursing care that promotes positive clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Monitors patient care processes and takes appropriate steps to improve the quality and overall patient experience.

Schedule

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts
• Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Schedule: Rotating; no fixed schedule
• Call: Not required

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of nursing experience – Required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing supervisory experience – Required
• Charge Nurse experience – Required
• EPIC experience – Required
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to effectively supervise nursing and ancillary staff
• Experience maintaining patient safety, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent combination of education and related experience – Required
• Master’s Degree – Preferred
• Five years of technical nursing experience – Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Active RN License in the state of practice – Required
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• NRP – Required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) – Required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification completed within the last 2 years – Required
• Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification – Preferred

Key Candidate Requirements

Must have:

• 5+ years of nursing experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Charge Nurse experience
• EPIC experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Recent AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (within 2 years)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring experience/certification
