Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced LVN/LPN to provide quality nursing care to pediatric patients in a long-term care setting. Candidates should have strong pediatric and LTC experience, with hands-on experience caring for patients requiring tracheostomy and ventilator support.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients
Monitor vital signs, patient condition, intake/output, and blood glucose
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care
Manage feeding tubes and enteral nutrition
Perform wound care, dressing changes, and skin assessments
Assist with patient transfers and use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts
Document patient care accurately in Epic
Communicate changes in patient condition to the RN/MD
Follow infection control, safety, and patient care protocols

Requirements: Active NJ or Compact LVN/LPN license 1+ year of pediatric nursing experience 1+ year of long-term care experience Previous travel nursing experience required Documented tracheostomy and ventilator experience required Epic experience required BLS required PALS/ACLS preferred Must be available every other weekend and 2 of 3 major winter holidays
