Description

Schedule: Primarily 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM shifts

Assignment Details
4-week travel assignment
Primarily 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Occasional schedule adjustment to 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
First-time travelers are welcome
Potential per diem opportunity after contract completion
Electronic medical record/documentation system: EPIC
Orientation: 8 hours

Requirements
Education: Master’s degree
Experience: Hospital clinical laboratory experience
Certification: ASCP or ASCP-PA preferred
EPIC experience required
Surgical Pathology Experience

Candidates should be comfortable with:

Performing gross examination and dissection of small biopsies and large/complex specimens
Providing macroscopic descriptions of gross anatomic features
Sectioning surgical pathology specimens
Preparing tissue for histological processing
Specimen receipt, identification, and labeling
Specimen Processing & Handling

Experience should include:

Gross and microscopic photography
Image analysis
Obtaining and reviewing relevant patient clinical information, including scans, X-rays, and laboratory results
