Position Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
- Job Type: Per Diem
- Location: Abilene, TX
- Facility: Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Abilene
- Shift: Days or Nights available
- Duration: 52 weeks
- Hours: 12 hours shift
- Break: 30-minute unpaid meal break
- Pay Rate: $50.00/hour
- REQUIRED: minimum of 2 shifts per month
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Requirements
- Active TX RN License (or Compact License)
- Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg experience
- minimum of 1 year recent acute (hospital/long-term acute care (LTAC)/in-patient rehab (IRF)) experience
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
