Description
Registered Nurse – Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum
Assignment: 13 or 26 weeks | Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s — traveler choice
Requirements
- 2+ years postpartum experience required — screen out candidates with <2 years
- 1st-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of high-acuity postpartum experience
- Must be able to manage census surges, including 4th couplet
- EPIC experience required — hard stop
- High-risk OB experience required
- BLS & NRP required
- 6 weekend days per contract
- Float required: Issaquah Postpartum, Edmonds Postpartum, and Labor & Delivery for 2nd-hour recovery
Unit
- High-volume, high-census facility caring for a diverse population and high-risk obstetric patients
- Standard assignment: 4 couplets
- Postpartum care following vaginal and cesarean delivery
- Substance withdrawal patients
Required Clinical Skills
- Cesarean & vaginal delivery postpartum care
- Postpartum hemorrhage
- Magnesium sulfate therapy
- Pitocin/oxytocin
- Foley catheter care
- Fundus, lochia & perineal assessment
- Episiotomy/incision care
- Postpartum medications & procedures
Preferred: JADA experience
