Pharmacist – Acute Care / Inpatient
Shift: 10-Hour Nights | 9:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Contract: 91 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 Hours/Week
Setting: Acute Care
Charting: Cerner

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmacy services across multiple acute-care areas, including ICU, IMC, ED, Med-Surg, OR, Cardiac Cath, EPS, Central Pharmacy, and IV Room support.

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License
• BLS (AHA) required
• Inpatient pharmacy staffing experience required
• BSN not required
• BCPS preferred
• Must understand USP <797> standards
• IV Room experience not required

Required Clinical Skills

• Vancomycin AUC dosing
• Aminoglycoside dosing
• Heparin dosing & monitoring
• TPN management & monitoring
• IV medication preparation/verification
• Experience ensuring IVs are prepared correctly according to standards

Schedule & Requirements

• 9 PM–7 AM
• 7 on / 7 off
• Rotating weekends as needed
• Weekend coverage: approximately every 3rd or 4th weekend
• Holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirement
• Pharmacy orientation: 2–3 weeks
• Standard facility orientation modules required

Additional Information

• Medication dispensing system: Omnicell
• Dress code: Scrubs, clean/professional attire, or business casual
• Client may cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week period
• Local candidates: within 80 miles of the facility; local rate applies with a $8/hour reduction
• Candidates must disclose if they have previously worked for Marshfield. Previous Marshfield employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission.
