Cardiac Sonographer – Pediatric & Adult
Facility: 353 Fairmont Blvd., Rapid City, SD
Shift: 8-Hour Days
Contract: 89 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer with strong adult and pediatric echocardiography experience. First-time travelers are welcome.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience
• Pediatric experience is required
• Adult echocardiography experience required
• BLS certification
• ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification
• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) required
• EPIC experience
• Experience with Philips CVx and 7CF equipment

Clinical Skills

• Complete & limited routine scans
• 2D measurements
• Strain imaging
• TEE
• Stress Echo

Schedule & Call

• 8-hour day shifts
• Hospital call required: 6 nights/month
• Weekend call approximately every 6–7 weeks
• Holidays may be included in the weekend/call rotation
• Floating required between clinic and hospital
• Orientation: 5 days
• Time off requires manager approval

Facility Details

• 11 imaging rooms in the clinic
• Outpatient volume: approximately 8 patients/day
• Inpatient volume: approximately 6–8 patients/day
• Support from 17 additional sonographers, 14 cardiologists, RNs, patient service representatives, and clinical informatics
• Black scrubs
• Free parking

Traveler Requirements

• Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers accepted
• Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler
