Inpatient Pharmacist – 7 On / 7 Off
Location: Lubbock, TX
Pay Rate: $82/hr W2
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Schedule: 7 On / 7 Off | Block Schedule
Shift: Nights initially for approximately 30–60 days, then transitioning to 12:00 PM–10:30 PM
Setting: Acute Care / Children's Hospital
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 26-week contract opportunity in Lubbock, TX. The pharmacist will support acute-care pharmacy operations and provide medication services for neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients.
Candidates must have previous hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience and pediatric exposure. Retail-only pharmacy experience will not qualify.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience
- Active Texas Pharmacist License
- PharmD
- BLS certification
- Epic experience required
- Previous pediatric pharmacy exposure required
- Inpatient/acute-care pharmacy experience
- IV preparation and sterile compounding experience
- Pharmacokinetic and renal dosing experience
- Therapeutic drug monitoring
- Pediatric medication dosing
- Antibiotic and IV medication experience
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
Preferred Clinical Experience
- Sterile compounding and aseptic technique
- IV piggyback and IV push medications
- TPN preparation
- Pharmacokinetic dosing
- Renal dosing
- Antibiotic therapy
- Anticoagulation management
- High-alert medications
- Cardiovascular and infectious disease pharmacotherapy
- Oncology and renal pharmacotherapy
- Chemotherapy/antineoplastic agents preferred
