Description
Shift: • E/N • 5x 8s • 40 hr weeks • 1300-2130hrs
Will include mandatory call.
Must be competent in general, small parts, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd trimester OB, fetal anatomy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and venous studies.
Required:
ARDMS BLS Certifications At least 2 years of experience
Essential Functions:
Understands, performs, and accurately completes various ultrasound examinations including abdomen, renal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies in accordance with professional and facility protocols in a safe manner as instructed.
Assist with interventional procedures using sterile technique including, but not limited to, biopsies, aspirations, localizations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis under the direction of a radiologist or APP.
Maintains the cleanliness of the ultrasound unit and associated minor equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures.
Places lab specimens in proper location with proper labeling and forms filled in with correct patient information.
Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety, and to prevent compromised data acquisition.
Utilizes PACS, RIS, and current EMR efficiently and completes required documentation for each examination performed.
