GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Reno, Nevada. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled telemetry nurse who excels in monitoring patients with cardiac and complex medical conditions while providing exceptional patient care in an acute care setting.

• Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM
• Pay: Up to $5,532.44 per week
• Contract Type: Travel/Contract

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to telemetry patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to rhythm changes and clinical deterioration.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Assess, document, and communicate patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Nevada RN License (or compact license if applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Current ACLS Certification required.
• Experience caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and medical-surgical conditions.
• Strong telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent communication, assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
• Experience in step-down, progressive care (PCU), or cardiac telemetry units.
• Familiarity with a variety of telemetry monitoring systems and equipment.
