First Connect Health has an immediate travel contract opening for an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) in Seattle, Washington. Operating within Swedish Medical Center First Hill Campus—the premier regional flagship birth center managing 500–600 deliveries per month across 31 L&D suites and 4 dedicated ORs—this high-grossing position offers a structured 4x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $3,576.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $2,380.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $23.00/hr (40 regular hours)
• Overtime Rate: $34.50/hr (8 weekly OT hours included)

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Schedules are posted in 6-week blocks.
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 total hours weekly (40 regular hours + 8 overtime hours).
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW).
• On-Call Requirements: Standby call rate is $15.00/hr (call-back rate is billable at 1.3x).
• High-Acuity Scope & Ratios: Staffed to AWHONN guidelines (1:1 to 1:2). Major tertiary perinatal center caring for complex high-risk OB, private OB and midwifery practices, and perinatal addiction recovery patients.
• Mandatory Clinical Roles (Hard Stops): Must be competent to Circulate C-sections in the 4 L&D ORs and execute the Baby Nurse role during delivery (immediate neonatal resuscitation, comprehensive newborn assessment, erythromycin eye ointment, and Vitamin K administration) until transfer to postpartum.
• Medications Managed: Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin drips, Pitocin, Terbutaline, and Heparin.
• Floating Expectations: Travelers may float internally to Antepartum, Postpartum (couplet care), or NICU (as helping hands / non-assigned pairs). Rare float to sister campuses (Issaquah or Edmonds) if operational needs dictate.
• EMR System: Epic EMR (Electronic Fetal Monitoring experience mandatory).

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute care Labor & Delivery RN experience in a high-acuity, high-volume environment is strictly required (3–5+ years strongly preferred). First-time travelers accepted!
• Licensure: Active Washington RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License must be in hand at submission (facility honors active compact licenses; clean Nursys verification mandatory).
• Certifications Required: * American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced and ACLS are preferred.
• Local Candidate Policy: Local candidates are accepted at the exact same travel rate!
• Rehire Policy: Former permanent staff from other non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation.
