Position Overview
Providence St. Peter Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join the Cardiac Cath Services team on a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience and be comfortable working in a high-acuity cardiac environment supporting diagnostic, interventional, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures.
This position requires a highly skilled and adaptable professional who can provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the cardiac care team.
Schedule
- Shift: 4x10 Days
- Hours: 0630–1700
- On-Call: One call day per week and one weekend approximately every 5–6 weeks
- RTO (Requested Time Off): All RTO must be disclosed at the time of submittal
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required
- Washington RT or CIS license required
- Pending licenses are not accepted
- Strong cardiac procedural experience required
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Clinical Responsibilities & Procedural Experience
The Cardiac Cath Lab supports a broad range of advanced cardiovascular procedures, including:
Diagnostic & Interventional Cardiology
- Diagnostic cardiac catheterization
- Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
- Coronary stent placement
- Balloon angioplasty
- Laser atherectomy
- Rotational atherectomy (Rotablator)
- Impella procedures
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Chronic total occlusion (CTO) procedures
Structural Heart
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Balloon valvuloplasty
- Watchman procedures
Electrophysiology
- Electrophysiology studies (EPS)
- Atrial fibrillation (Afib) ablations
- Atrial flutter ablations
- Biventricular (BiV) device and pacemaker implants
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong rhythm interpretation skills
- Experience with advanced cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
- Experience in a high-acuity acute-care or cardiac catheterization environment
Traveler Eligibility
- Local candidates are not eligible.
- Travelers with a permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract.
- Pending licenses are not accepted.
- All requested time off must be included with the initial submission.
