Shift Matrix: Day Shift | 08:00 – 17:00 (5x8-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours/Week)

  • Schedule Quality: Primary day shifts with possible occasional evening coverage.
  • On-Call Requirement: None.
  • Housing Logistics: Shared housing provided by facility at NO COST to the clinician.

    Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

🚫 Absolute Minimum Qualifications & Facility Hardstops:

  • Licensure Mandate: Active, unencumbered Massachusetts (MA) State RN License held in hand at submission.
  • Experience Baseline: Minimum 1+ year of dedicated RN clinical experience (Ambulatory Clinic, Primary Care, or Outpatient setting preferred).
  • Core Certification Required: Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Clinical Scope: Demonstrated efficiency in outpatient provider support, nurse visits, triage, adult/pediatric immunizations, and patient education.
  • Housing Policy: Must adhere to facility-provided shared housing rules and guidelines.

Job Summary & Clinical Scope

A Hospital in Nantucket, MA is seeking an adaptable Clinic Registered Nurse for a 16-week outpatient assignment within the Nantucket Cottage Medical Group (NCMG). Working side-by-side with attending medical providers and leadership in an ambulatory care setting, the RN will oversee daily clinical operations, conduct patient assessments, execute nurse-driven visits, and support patient- and family-centered primary/specialty care for the island community.

  • Provider Support & Workflow Management: Partner directly with physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) to manage daily patient flow, rooming, clinical intakes, and outpatient procedures.
  • Triage & Patient Communication: Perform telephone and in-person clinical triage, evaluate patient symptoms, deliver test results, coordinate prescription refills, and provide disease management instruction.
  • Ambulatory Interventions: Administer routine and seasonal immunizations, IV therapies/injections, execute wound care/dressing changes, perform diagnostic EKGs, and handle point-of-care lab testing.
  • Outpatient Operations: Maintain infection control, ensure room preparedness, manage clinical inventory, and accurately document patient encounters in the EMR.
