Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Weekends – Saturday & Sunday, 12-hour shifts

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT) to support laboratory operations in the Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) in Pleasant View. The primary responsibility will be Point-of-Care (POC) Testing, with additional clerical duties as assigned by Nursing and the Laboratory Director to support FSED operations.

Required Qualifications

• ASCP certification or equivalent
• Accepted certifications include:
  • MLS – Medical Laboratory Scientist
  • CLS – Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  • Medical Technologist (MT)
• Strong understanding of Point-of-Care Testing
• Willingness to perform assigned clerical duties

Preferred Skills

• Previous POC testing experience
• FSED or emergency department laboratory experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing
• Follow laboratory procedures and quality standards
• Maintain accurate testing documentation and records
• Collaborate with nursing and laboratory leadership
• Perform clerical and operational duties as assigned
• Support overall FSED laboratory operations
