Compensation & Schedule Details

• Hours & Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week (Variable shifts: 0630–1900, 1000–2230, 1200–0030, 1400–0200, 1830–0700). Note: Does not work both days and nights in the same week.
• Contract Length: Travel contract
• Target Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Rate Multipliers: Overtime +$10/hr after 40 (unless 48-hour guarantee, then after 48); On-Call +$7/hr; Call-back at 1.5x regular pay with a 2-hour minimum; Holiday at 1.5x regular pay.

Key Facility Policies & Unit Guidelines

• Radius & Rehire Rule: Strict 100-mile radius restriction from any Monument facility. Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler. No first-time travelers accepted.
• Special Patient Expectations: Must be comfortable taking sexual assault patients for evidence collection (buccal swabs, fingernail scrapings, clothing collection, victim interviews; no pelvic exams required).
• Floating: May float to inpatient Med/Surg, PCU, or ICU areas as a task nurse (not taking an independent assignment).
• Dress Code: Solid navy blue scrubs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience excluding travel preferred (candidates with 1.5 years ED + 2 years outside ED require manager approval).
• Licensure: Active South Dakota RN license (or compact state).
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS required; CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred.
