Description
Regional Pharmacy Manager
Location: Newport, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Days, 0800–1630; no weekends
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure
- One of the following:
- Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency
- Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in pharmacy practice plus 1 year of pharmacist experience
- 2 years of pharmacist experience
- 1 year of leadership experience plus 1 year of pharmacist experience
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS
- ACLS
- Pre-employment/post-offer drug screen
Role Summary
- Manages pharmacy department operations, including planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating functions, activities, and costs
- Supports pharmacy staff in delivering quality services
- Prepares and dispenses medication
- Assesses patients’ clinical status
- Provides drug information to the medical team
- Educates patients
