Vivian Health Job Description – CVICU RN

Position: Travel CVICU RN
Shift: 12H Nights | 7 PM–7 AM
Unit: 20-bed CVICU | Charting: EPIC
Required: BLS (AHA) | ACLS: Preferred | CCRN: Preferred
BSN: Not Required

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years recent CVICU experience
• Must be able to handle complex CVICU patients independently from day one
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation, assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Patient Population: CABG, valves, dissections, AAA, vascular procedures, STEMI/NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, TAVR, ventilated patients and other critical cardiac conditions.

Equipment: IABP, Impella, Swan-Ganz, ECMO, CRRT, temporary pacemakers, ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow and nitric oxide.

Lines: PICC, Midline, CVC, Swan-Ganz and arterial lines.

Drips: Dopamine, Dobutamine, Levophed, Epi, Neo, Vasopressin, Cleviprex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Insulin, Heparin and Esmolol.

Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 or 2:1 based on acuity.
Weekends: Every other weekend
Holidays: Every other holiday
Floating: All levels of care; travelers take a full assignment.
RT: 24/7 | Monitor Techs: Available
