Description

ER Travel RN — Simplified

  • Position: ER RN
  • Shift: Night, 7 PM–7:30 AM
  • Schedule: 4 × 12-hour shifts
  • Guaranteed: 36 hours/week
  • Contract: 13 weeks
  • Patient ratio: 1:5
  • First-time travelers: ✅ Yes
  • On-call: ❌ No
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Floating: ✅ Yes, within your scope
  • Block schedule: ❌ No
  • Local candidates: ❌ No — must live more than 50 miles away

Experience:

  • 1.5–2 years ER experience required

🏥 ER Details

  • 23 beds
  • 14 rooms
  • Approximately 75 visits/day
  • Treats all age groups, including pediatrics and adults
  • Adult + pediatric emergency department

📅 Time Off / Vaccines

  • RTO: 7 days or less
  • COVID vaccine required; medical exemption allowed
  • Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemption allowed
  • Orientation: 24 hours
  • About 4 hours of unpaid/non-billable modules before starting

⚠️ Important Facility Rules

  • Former permanent employees must be separated from Guthrie Healthcare System for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
  • Must live outside the 50-mile radius.

⭐ Bottom Line

This is a night ER travel RN job, 4×12s,every other weekend, and no call. First-time travelers are welcome. The key requirements are 1.5+ years ER experience + BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. You must be willing to float and live more than 50 miles away.

Referrals are welcome earn $50/referral.
