Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Description:

• Assists physicians and the surgical team during invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.
• Prepares, handles, and maintains surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment required during procedures.
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care throughout the operative process.
• Continuously monitors and maintains the sterile field to support infection prevention and patient safety.
• Collaborates effectively with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operating-room procedures.

Requirements

Schedule:

• Variable/Night Shift
• 3 × 12-hour shifts
• Weekends and holidays required
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Education & Experience:

• Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology – Required
• Relevant acute-care experience – Preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• National Board of Surgical Technologists (NBSTSA) or Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) certification – Preferred
• CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor, per AH policy – Preferred
