Clinical Dietitian

Description:

• Provides comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents with specialized nutritional needs or those identified as being at nutritional risk.
• Conducts initial nutritional assessments and reassessments and develops individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provides patient and family education regarding nutrition, dietary needs, and appropriate interventions.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Documents all assessments, interventions, and follow-up care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.
• Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, technical skills, and decision-making abilities while delivering safe and effective nutritional care.

Requirements

Schedule & Location:

• Day Shift
• 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week (8×5)
• Location: Specialty – Bakersfield
• Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network, including AHTV, AHBD, and AHDL
• EPIC experience – Required

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent – Required
• Master’s Degree – Required if eligibility for the examination began on or after 01/01/2024
• Dietetic Internship or equivalent – Required
• Clinical Dietitian experience – Preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential – Required within 6 months of completion of the residency program
