Compensation & Schedule Details

• Hours & Shift: 36 guaranteed hours per week (12-hour variable shifts; rotating schedule).
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Target Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Low Census & On-Call Policy: Eligible for up to 36 hours of unbillable low census hours total per contract. Travelers can be placed on-call during low census (on-call hours count toward the 36 low-census unbillable hours). If called back to the facility, call-back pay applies with a 2-hour minimum.

Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules

• Radius Rule: Strict 50-mile radius restriction (contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius).
• Floating: Occasional need to float to other departments strictly to help out (e.g., vital checks; will not take an independent patient load). May also float to other Aspirus locations such as Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade.
• Mandatory Health Policy: During flu season, any traveler who declines the flu and COVID-19 vaccination is strictly required to wear a mask at all times (no exceptions).
• Dress Code: Any clean and work-appropriate scrubs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience required (ED or ICU experience very helpful). Must be able to read telemetry strips.
• Licensure: Active Wisconsin (WI) RN license or compact state license.
• Certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Charting: Epic charting experience preferred.
• Unit Overview: 25-bed critical access hospital with a 20-bed Med-Surg unit sharing 3 ICU beds (typical census 8–10). Patient ratios range from 1:4–5 on days/evenings to 1:6–7 on evenings/nights.
