House Supervisor RN – Acute Care Hospital

Location: Aberdeen, WA
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
EMR: Meditech
Minimum Experience: 4 years recent Acute Care Hospital experience

 

Weekly Gross: $2884

 

Position Overview

The RN House Supervisor will provide overnight nursing leadership and hospital-wide operational oversight, ensuring safe and efficient patient care throughout the facility. This role requires an experienced RN who can make sound decisions independently, manage competing priorities, support clinical staff, and effectively respond to patient, staffing, and operational issues during the night shift.

 

Requirements:

  • Active Washington RN license
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Minimum 4 years of recent Acute Care Hospital experience
  • 1+ year of demonstrated nursing leadership experience preferred
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing staffing levels and clinical department operations
  • Strong intervention and conflict-resolution skills with staff, patients, families, and providers
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Holiday coverage required
  • RTO must be approved and scheduled at the end of the contract 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hospital-wide nursing leadership and operational oversight during the night shift.
  • Monitor patient care activities and ensure safe and efficient hospital operations.
  • Assess staffing needs and help maintain appropriate staffing levels across clinical departments.
  • Serve as a leadership resource for nurses and other clinical staff.
  • Respond to and resolve patient care, staffing, family, and physician concerns.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff with clinical and operational issues.
  • Manage escalated situations using sound judgment and effective conflict-resolution skills.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist with patient flow, admissions, transfers, discharges, and other operational needs as required.
  • Prioritize multiple clinical and operational issues effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, teamwork, and effective communication throughout the hospital.
  • Escalate significant clinical or operational concerns to appropriate leadership.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and utilize the Meditech EMR as required.
