RN - Emergency Department

Overview

  • Travel RN position in Hickory, North Carolina
  • Specialty: Emergency Services

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Cerner

Schedule / Work Setting

  • Weekend rotation every other weekend
  • Call may require adjusted hours depending on census
  • Float support in areas where competencies are held

Unit Details

  • Emergency Department with 32 beds
  • Patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
  • Handles patients from birth to death
  • Fast-paced environment with critical care equipment

Candidate Fit

  • Strong patient and family communication skills
  • Critical thinking and stamina
  • Experience with fast-paced ED work, strokes, STEMI, and trauma is preferred
