Registered Nurse (RN) – Juvenile Corrections

Location: Brooktondale, NY
Facility: MacCormick Secure Center
Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Contract: 6+ Months

Job Description

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a juvenile correctional setting. The RN will provide nursing interventions, medication administration, health assessments, and ongoing care for approximately 27 male youth.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and medication administration
Assess and monitor patients' overall health conditions
Develop, review, and evaluate nursing intervention plans
Maintain medication, controlled substance, and narcotics inventory
Participate in treatment team meetings and staff training
Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation
Follow infection control and regulatory standards

Requirements

Active and unrestricted New York State RN License
Current NYS registration to practice as an RN
Correctional or juvenile healthcare experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills

Background Requirements: -State and federal criminal background checks -Fingerprinting -NYS Statewide Central Register (SCR) screening -Justice Center Staff Exclusion List (SEL) screening
