REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• License: Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission

• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP; *PALS preferred


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CLINICAL SKILLS
=====================================
• Experience Required: 2+ years of current Level III NICU experience (facility is Level IV however accepts Level III experience)

• General NICU Care: Developmental care; Patient/family teaching; Phlebotomy; Thermoregulation; BG monitoring; Phototherapy; Isolation/PPE; Sepsis workup

• Lines/Blood: Administration of blood & blood products; A-line management; Central/implanted line care; IV starts/maintenance; UAC/UVC

• Medications: Anti-seizure; Antibiotics/antivirals; IV vasopressors; Neonatal dose calculations; Steroids; Surfactants; Insulin

• GI/Nutrition: Breastfeeding support, breast milk handling, and bottle, breast, and gavage feedings ; NEC; Oral/NG/NJ tube placement

• Respiratory: Bubble CPAP; HFNC; chest tubes; Meconium aspiration; Oxygen delivery systems; RDS; ETT/NT suctioning; Vapotherm; Vent management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)

• *Preferred Skills: Charge Exp; jet vents, oscillators, ECMO, UAC, CritiCool body cooling, and neonates received via transport


SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Charting: EPIC experience required

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

• Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs

• Locals Accepted: Yes, Locals accepted


UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Ratios: 1:2 NICU; 1:3-4 SCN

• Unit: Neonates 29–34 weeks and >34 weeks gestation; 21-bed NICU and 16-bed SCN; Will not attend high-risk deliveries

• Scrubs:

• Floating: Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Will float to Newborn, Peds and PICU for appropriate assignments
