Description

Location: Needham, MA

Department/Setting:

- Anatomical Pathology Laboratory

- Clinical Lab

- Lab volume is 220-280 average cases per day

- Case mix includes, GI, breast and prostate core biopsies, skin, gyn, general surgical cases.

Full Schedule Details:

- 40 hours per week

- 3p-11:30p

- Monday-Friday

- Overtime is approved with prior authorization
Parking: Free on-site

Top responsibilities:

- Requires accuracy in grossing protocols that meet department protocol and guidelines.

- Specimen types include GI, prostate and breast core biopsies, skin excision and shaves, Gyn and POC and other general small biopsy specimens.

Contract Requirements:
- Must have 3+ years of experience in a CAP certified clinical laboratory

- Must be ASCP certified

- Experience in gross all small biopsies – case mix includes GI, breast and prostate core biopsies, skin, gyn, general surgical cases

- Must be able to gross 160-180 cases per day

- LIS Epic Beaker experience preferred

- Dragon application experience preferred

- Must be able to to understand nightly goals and complete assigned tasks in a minimally supervised setting on evening shift
