Shift Matrix: Night Shift (19:00 – 07:30) | Flexible Hours Schedule
- Schedule Options: Candidate choice of 36, 40, or 48 hours per week
- 36 or 48 Hours: 3x12s or 4x12s Nights (19:00 – 07:30)
- 40 Hours: 2x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) + 2x8-hour shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/40/48 Hours Minimum
- Vetting Workflow: All submissions processed through Clinical Interview Services*
🚫 Absolute Minimum Qualifications & Facility Hardstops:
- Licensure Mandate: Active, unencumbered Massachusetts (MA) State RN License held in hand at submission.
- Experience Baseline: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Labor & Delivery clinical experience.
- Operating Room Requirement: MUST have demonstrated OR circulating experience for C-sections/obstetric surgical procedures.
- Mandatory Certifications Required:
- Active AHA BLS
- Active AHA ACLS
- Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM): Recent Intermediate or Advanced certification required.
- Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
- ALSO (Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics)
- Perinatal NCC Certifications (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing or Maternal Newborn Nursing)
- First Latch (Breastfeeding Certification)
Job Summary & Clinical Scope
A Hospital in South Weymouth, MA is seeking two experienced, highly skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses for a 13-week night assignment in the SSH Obstetrics Birthing Unit. The RN will deliver high-acuity intrapartum, high-risk obstetrical, and immediate postpartum care, as well as serve as an OR circulating nurse during emergency and scheduled C-sections.
- Intrapartum & High-Risk Patient Care: Manage patients through triage, labor, delivery, recovery, and high-risk antepartum monitoring using advanced continuous electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
- Surgical & Circulating Scope: Circulate C-sections, tubal ligations, and emergency operative obstetrical procedures in the unit's dedicated OR suites.
- Resuscitation & Newborn Care: Provide immediate stabilization and resuscitation of the neonate at birth alongside neonatology/pediatric teams utilizing NRP protocols.
- Postpartum & Lactation Support: Administer direct recovery care to mother and infant dyad, assisting with immediate bonding and breastfeeding initiation.
