RN - Interventional Radiology

Overview

• Travel RN role in Interventional Radiology
• Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Call required: approximately 2 weeks per month
• Weekly guaranteed hours: none
• Float requirements: none
• Orientation: bi-weekly

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• 3 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• Moderate Sedation Analgesia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Conscious/Moderate Sedation administration and monitoring
• Strong IV access and patient assessment skills
• Experience with vascular access procedures, biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoroscopic procedures
• Experience recovering patients after moderate sedation
• PICC line and port management experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• ED - Emergency Department experience
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience

Preferred Experience

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology experience
• Experience with vascular access procedures, biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoroscopic procedures
• Experience recovering patients after moderate sedation
• PICC line and port management experience
• Experience assisting with advanced vascular and oncology procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care
• Support moderate sedation administration and monitoring
• Work independently while collaborating with physicians, technologists, and support staff
• Assist with development of new Interventional Radiology service lines and advanced procedures

Patient Population

• Adult and geriatric patients

Additional Notes

• Must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered travel
• Scrubs may be any color
• Unacceptable attire includes acrylic nails and hats
