Description

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience — explicitly stated.
Experience as a Histotechnologist in a medical laboratory/anatomic pathology setting.
Experience with:
- Tissue specimen identification and processing
- Tissue accessioning
- Gross examination assistance
- Tissue cassette preparation
- Tissue processor operation
- Cutting sections from embedded tissue blocks
- Slide staining and preparation
- Frozen section preparation
- Special histochemical staining
- Preparing specimens/slides for outside laboratory consultation
- Filing and maintaining tissue slides and blocks
8-hour day shift, Monday–Friday
Holiday coverage is required.

Required Documents / Certifications

ASCP certification — required.
Active State License — must be currently active
