Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN)

Location: Intermountain Platte Valley Medical Center, Brighton, Colorado (1600 Prairie Center Pkwy)

Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour Nights).
- Contract Length: Travel contract
- Target Start Date: September 28, 2026
- On-Call: May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules
- Floating: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need.
- Documentation & Standards: Performs nursing functions adhering to state Board of Nursing standards, SCL Health/Intermountain service behaviors, and hospital guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous Registered Nurse experience preferred.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado (or compact state).
- Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required, along with specialty-appropriate certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as required by the unit.
- Education: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) required; BSN preferred.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
