Temple, TX – Cardiac Sonographer (Non-Invasive Cardiology | Level I | 5x8s Days)

Scope of Role:

• Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound studies in a high-acuity, advanced cardiac environment
• Support diagnosis and treatment planning for complex cardiac conditions
• Work alongside cardiologists in both non-invasive and procedural settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiograms
• Obtain accurate measurements and high-quality imaging for physician interpretation
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and adapt imaging techniques as needed
• Assist physicians during advanced cardiac procedures when required
• Prepare patients, review clinical history, and explain procedures clearly
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Ensure proper equipment maintenance and adherence to lab protocols

Must-Have Credentials:

• RDCS or RCS certification
• Active BLS (AHA only)
• 3–5 years of cardiac sonography experience
• Experience in a Level I or high-acuity cardiac environment

Required Experience:

• Advanced cardiac cases including:
  • ECMO
  • Impella
  • TAVR
  • LVAD

Preferred Skills:

• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Ability to perform and assist with TEE procedures
• Experience supporting complex cardiac interventions
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Work Environment:

• High-acuity cardiac program with advanced mechanical circulatory support
• Collaborative team including cardiologists and specialized cardiac staff
• Fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment
