Description
Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week
Start Date: 10/12/2026
Facility: Level III Trauma Center | Level III NICU | Magnet Designated | Primary Stroke Center
Beds: Approximately 636
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care or surgical experience
- ARRT certification required
- Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist License required
- BLS required
- Strong hospital-based X-Ray experience
- Must be highly competent with surgical and procedural imaging
- First-time travelers may be considered based on skill level
Required Skills
- General X-Ray
- Portable X-Ray
- Surgical/Procedure experience
- Fluoroscopy
- OR experience
- Experience with ERCP, bronchoscopies, urology, and pain procedures
- OR cases including orthopedics, general surgery, and spine
- Comfortable with C-arm; O-arm experience preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
Patient Population
- Inpatient
- Outpatient
- Emergency Department
- Procedural patients
- All age groups, with limited pediatric cases
Department Details
- Approximately 15–20 patients per technologist/day
- 14 techs on day shift
- 7 techs on second shift
- 3 techs on third shift
- Lead Tech available on first shift
- Radiologist onsite 24/7
- RT and Hospitalist support 24/7
- No floating expected
Technology
- EMR: Epic
- PACS: McKesson
- X-Ray: GE, Fuji, Del Medical
- C-Arms: GE 9900 and Elite
- O-Arm: Available
Schedule
- Primarily Monday–Friday
- Every other weekend
- One weekday off before and after a scheduled weekend
- Start times may vary by approximately 1–1.5 hours based on staffing
- On-call required: approximately 1 call shift/week
- Call shifts:
- 6:30 AM–2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
- 10:30 PM–6:30 AM
- Holiday: 1 holiday per contract
- RTO requires manager approval

- Orientation: NEO + approximately 7 days in department
- Scrubs: Surgery scrubs provided
- Parking: Free
