Title: Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Wadesboro North Carolina 28170
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40
Shift Information: 0730-1600
Clinical Interviewing- Yes, manager will have final approval
On Call, Call Back Requirements: None
Weekend Rotation: None
Holiday Requirements: As needed based on department needs
Floating Requirements: Could float to nearby Advocate Health facilities based on department needs

About Facility:
- 15 bed hospital, 8 bed ED attached to a Primary Care Clinic
- Pathway designated facility
Unit Information:
- Beds: 1
- Census: Average patients/day: 4-8 echoes per day
Minimum Years of Experience required: Over 1 year
- Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Adult inpatient
- Emergency department
- Outpatient
- Could help with precepting other Echo Techs, but not a firm requirement
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
- BLS
- ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCIS accepted
- Graduate of accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred
Skills required:
- Experience with above patient types, adult transthoracic echocardiography, contrast studies, doppler and color flow imaging
- No TEEs or stress echoes
- Soft skills: ability to work independently and good time management
Support within the Department:
- Remote leadership support available
- RT 24/7
- Hospitalist 24/7
- Radiologist available
- Limited transporter availability
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- PACS: ISCV by Phillips
- Unit specific equipment: Phillips EPIQ ultrasound - preferred
Floating: If yes, where:
- Could float to nearby Advocate Health facilities based on department needs
Orientation (facility and unit):
- Department orientation and EPIC training provided
- Initial scanning competency assessment required
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: none
- On call: No
- Holiday Expectations: As needed based on department needs
- Approval of RTO: ok to approve up to 7 days
- Shift times: 0800-1630
- Schedule cycle: Monday - Friday
