Travel | Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant(COTA) | Lancaster, Wisconsin

We're seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment at a friendly rural hospital in Western Wisconsin. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who enjoys a diverse caseload, collaborative team environment, and small-community healthcare setting.

Assignment Details

• Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Location: Lancaster, Wisconsin
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: Days
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Days: Monday through Friday
• Travel Package: $2,126/Week

Clinical Setting & Patient Population

The successful candidate will work alongside an Occupational Therapist on all cases and assist with a variety of patient populations, including:

Inpatient & Swing Bed Patients

• Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training
• Deconditioned weakness
• Post-surgical rehabilitation
• Primarily adult and Medicare-aged patients

Outpatient Services

• Hand therapy
• Elbow rehabilitation
• Shoulder surgery recovery
• Small pediatric caseload

Home Health Opportunities

• Occasional home health visits within a 15 to 20-mile radius of the facility

Caseload

• Average of 8 to 9 patients per day
• Lower-volume rural facility with manageable workloads and strong patient interaction

Requirements

• Current COTA license/certification
• Resume
• Professional references as required
• Department of Public Instruction (DPI) certification is helpful but not required

Facility Information

• Rural community hospital in Western Wisconsin
• Lower-acuity patient population
• Higher-acuity cases are referred to larger regional medical centers
• Approximately:
  • 1.5 hours from Madison, WI
  • 40 minutes from Dubuque, IA

• First week focused on shadowing and learning facility systems
• First-day instructions provided prior to start date
