Description
Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) – Orthopedics/Spine
Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist will provide perioperative support for orthopedic and spine surgical procedures, assisting the surgical team in maintaining a safe, efficient, and sterile operating environment. The Surgical Tech will prepare instruments and supplies, maintain aseptic technique, and support surgical procedures throughout the perioperative process.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in General OR, Orthopedics, Spine, Podiatry, and Mako Surgical Robot procedures.
Position Details

- Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts
- Shift: Days
- Floating: Required; may float to the Main OR
- Call: Required
- Required Certifications: BLS, Washington Surgical Technologist License
Call Requirements
Per the 6-week schedule, call responsibilities include:
- Three weeknight call shifts: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Three weekend call shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Providence Eligibility Requirement
- Previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the Providence health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic and spine expertise and hands-on experience with the Mako Surgical System. The candidate should demonstrate excellent sterile technique, strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, and the flexibility to float to the Main OR as required.
