Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Prior Charge RN experience required
• Must be willing and able to work Charge RN
• Progressive Care experience preferred
• Insulin drip experience required
• Cardiac drip experience required
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
• Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to integrate quickly into the team

Required Certifications

• AHA BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• NIHSS required prior to start

Charge RN Requirement

• Charge RN responsibilities required
• Minimum every other weekend, or schedule may be adjusted based on unit/patient-care needs

Unit & Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients
• Care for surgical patients, including orthopedic, urology, GYN, and general surgery
• Manage some Progressive Care-level patients
• Unit serves as the Code 99, Rapid Response, Fall, and IV team
• Starting IVs and performing venipuncture
• Performing EKGs
• Telemetry/cardiac monitoring
• Alaris IV pumps and Phillips cardiac monitoring
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
• Respiratory manages ventilators, nebulizers, and inhalers
• 24/7 hospitalist coverage dedicated to the unit

Floating

• No floating required
• Voluntary floating within scope may be available

Staffing & Support

• LNA/CNA/PCT support: 2–3+ staff per shift as needed
• Unit clerk/secretary staffing varies
• 24/7 lab and X-ray support
• House supervisors available when managers are not present
• Supportive teamwork and professional-growth environment

Scheduling & Other Requirements

• No block schedules
• Must be available to start within the next week
• Active license required at time of submission
• IVS to OFFER: Monday–Sunday
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history required, including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.
• Public transportation is not available
• Reliable personal/rental vehicle strongly recommended
• All-season or snow tires recommended November–April
• Guaranteed Hours: As per contract
• Contract Length: 7 weeks
