Description
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse
Job Summary
The IR Registered Nurse provides nursing care and clinical support for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. The RN must have strong IR experience, telemetry/dysrhythmia knowledge, and the ability to successfully complete the required competency assessments before starting the assignment.
Assignment Details
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
- Guaranteed hours do not include on-call hours worked.
- Schedule: 10-hour day shifts
- Some weekend requirements to support stress testing; no on-call requirement.
- Weekends & holidays: Expected
- Orientation: Biweekly
- Interview: Nurse Manager will interview and make the offer.
- Interview availability must be provided at the time of submission.
- Coversheet: Required at submission.
- RTO: All requested time off must be submitted with the candidate's profile.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Massachusetts RN License required
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Current AHA ACLS Certification
- Ability to successfully pass the required Telemetry/Dysrhythmia and Medication competency exams
- Documented professional development activities
- Knowledge of Critical Paths
Pre-Assignment Competency Testing
Candidates must complete two exams through CCH via a Zoom-proctored meeting before the assignment begins:
- Dysrhythmia/Telemetry Test: 20 questions
- Medication Test: 20 questions
- Tests must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation.
- Passing score: 85%
- One attempt only
- No remediation or retesting is available.
- Candidates are encouraged to prepare using the client-provided study guide.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Charge Nurse experience
Local Candidate Restriction
- Local travelers are not accepted.
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
Previous BILH Employees
- Candidates who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) as travel, permanent, or per diem staff within the previous 6 months are not eligible.
- Candidates must be separated from the facility for at least 6 months before consideration.
