Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds -30
• Number of Staff – 57
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 charge, RN per 2 -3 pts
  • Night Shift - 1 charge, RN per 2 -3 pts
  • The Unit has Nurse externs on staff that will assist the staff
• Patient Ratios – 1 RN to 2pts, but we do have overflow, ratios can increase.
• Type of equipment – Lenet beds, GE monitors
• EMR - Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current acute care ICU experience
• ACLS, BLS & NIH

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Neuro certification
• Neuro and trauma experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
 

• Rapid intubation
• Chest tubes and EVD
• Will treat LVAD and CCRT patients
