Description

Med Surg (Medical Surgical) - Required: Active ND or compact license, BLS(AHA), 2 Years Experience with Min 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting, 200+ beds, Must have experience working in a busy level one trauma center, Must be willing/able to float to any MS unit across 3 locations in Fargo if needed, Must have EPIC experience

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program:
Adult Trauma, Medical and Surgical patients with wide range of medical and surgical needs with Trauma/Orthopedic Trauma and we are certified by TJC for our Hip Fracture Program.

-Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: Days – 1:4-5 and Nights 1:5-6
-Travel experience: highly preferred
- Job Duties: RN Inpatient – Electronic documentation (EPIC), Assessments, Skills, Education and Skills.
- Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: EPIC Compueter Chart, AcuDose and other identified inpatient equipment needs.

- We don’t have a certain time frame that they rotate. They might work 3 weeks days than 3 weeks nights one schedule cycle and the next schedule cycle all days or all nights. All depends on the unit needs.
- The travelers can self schedule however they are only guaranteed to have the days off that are listed on their contract and during balance may be moved off a shift that they self-scheduled to balance the unit. If staff do need a specific day off and we can’t support it as the switch would off balance our unit we ask them to find someone to trade with like we do our badge staff. There is usually high success in finding someone to switch with.
- When we balance the schedule we are very mindful that staff aren’t flipping back and forth from days to nights frequently.
- All clinicians must badge in and out at facility
