Registered Nurse – CVICU
Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Specialty: CVICU – Cardio Thoracic ICU
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12s
Position Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience
- SICU experience may be considered if the candidate completed initial training in a CVICU
- Fresh post-operative cardiac experience is required
- Experience with CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax
- Active NJ or Compact RN License required at submission
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Epic experience required
Required Clinical Skills
- Arterial line management
- Central line and PICC line management
- Blood product administration
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
- Emergency medication administration
- IV insulin protocols
- Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
- BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC
- ABG interpretation
