Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Durham, NC
Specialty: Labor & Delivery / High-Risk Perinatal
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12s
Position Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Active NC or Compact RN License in hand
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Must have open availability; blocked scheduling is not accepted
Clinical Experience
Experience with both high-risk and low-risk L&D patients, including:
- Labor and Delivery management
- Inductions and spontaneous labor
- Vaginal deliveries
- High-risk deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- C-section recovery
- Epidural and pain management
- Fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal FHR patterns
