Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technician with Labor & Delivery experience to join a high-performing clinical team. The ideal candidate will assist physicians and nursing staff during obstetric and surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient environment for patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for Labor & Delivery procedures.
• Assist physicians during cesarean sections and other surgical interventions.
• Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and organization of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintain patient safety standards before, during, and after procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technician experience within Labor & Delivery specialty.
• Current AHA BLS Certification (Required).
• NBSTSA or NCCT Certification (Preferred).
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Contract & Overtime Information

• Daily OT applicable after 24 hours (based on multiplier).
• Weekly OT applicable after 40 hours (based on multiplier).

Holiday Requirements

Candidates must be available to work:

• 2 Major Holidays out of:
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Day

AND

• 1 Minor Holiday out of:
  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • New Year's Eve

• Travel candidates only.
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible.
• Compliance requirements must be completed by the Wednesday prior to a Monday start date.
