Role: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Details: 8-Hour Days, Monday–Friday, 0630–1500 + Call

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Licensure: Texas or Compact RN License (Required to submit)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Identification: Copy of Driver's License required at submittal (Legal name in profile must match government-issued ID exactly; no middle initials/names)

Clinical Scope & Responsibilities

• Primary Role: Circulating and monitoring adult cardiac cases. Must be proficient in circulating.
• Procedures Performed: Cardiac cath, EP (ICD insertions, pacemakers, A-Flutter/SVT/A-Fib ablations), peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolizations. No IR/specials.
• Staffing Model: 3-person team per case (Circulating RN, Scrub Tech, Monitor Tech).
• Workload: 4 Cath Labs (3 running concurrently); 5–15 cases per day across the unit.

Equipment, Tech & Environment

• Hemodynamic System: GE MacLab / Combo Lab
• EMR / Charting: MEDITECH
• Cross-Training: All staff cross-trained on hemodynamic monitoring.

Scheduling, Call & Orientation

• Call Requirement: Approximately 10–11 days per month, including 1 weekend.
• Orientation: 3 days of unit orientation. Must be ready to work independently by Thursday/Friday of week one.
• Initial Call Schedule: 1 shadow call shift at the end of week one with an experienced RN; full call rotation (including weekends) starts by week two.
• Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts canceled per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for contracts under 13 weeks).
