Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to care for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry boarding patients in the Emergency Department. The unit averages approximately 40 boarder patients per day who are awaiting inpatient beds. Strong experience caring for ED boarder patients is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to MS/Tele patients boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient placement.
• Manage patients requiring ongoing telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical care.
• Maintain safe patient care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma environment.
• Collaborate with the ED and inpatient teams to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN License – Required
• Level I Trauma experience – Required
• Epic experience – Required
• BLS through AHA – Required
• ACLS through AHA – Required
• Previous ED boarder patient experience – Required
• Day 1 Telemetry testing required
• Practice tests will be completed during onboarding; candidates must pass within 2 attempts during compliance.
• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered.

Submission Requirements

• Only minimal time off will be considered
• Experience with ED boarder patients.
