Description
We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in California. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, highly skilled RN who is comfortable caring for critically ill newborns in a fast-paced Level III/IV NICU environment.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license
- NICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Ability to care for premature and critically ill newborns
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
- Current clinical documentation and immunizations as required by the facility
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns
- Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, labs, and clinical changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely
- Manage ventilators, CPAP, IVs, central lines, and other NICU equipment as appropriate
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team
- Educate and support parents and families
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow facility policies and protocols
