Compensation & Schedule Details

• Hours & Shift: Rotating shifts. Overtime is paid at base rate +$10 after 40 hours (or after 48 hours if confirmed for a 48-hour guarantee).
• Contract Length: Travel contract (Target Start Date: October 5, 2026).
• Pay Add-ons: On-call +$7/hr; Callback 1.5x regular pay with a 2-hour minimum; Holiday 1.5x regular pay (Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day).
• Distance & Separation Rules: Strict 100-mile radius rule (must live >100 miles away). Former permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler. Up to 7 days of time off can be approved, but the traveler must extend the contract 1 week for every week missed.

Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules

• Mandatory Floating: Urgent requirement to float seamlessly between ER, ICU, and Med-Surg. 35-bed acute care facility including ER (9 treatment spaces), ICU (4 beds), and Med-Surg (15 beds).
• Patient Ratios: ED 1:3–4; ICU 1:1–2; Med-Surg 1:5. Charting via Epic. Navy blue scrubs required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of acute care experience (ED or ICU background required). First-time travelers are accepted only if they have 2+ years of experience.
• Licensure: Active South Dakota (SD) RN license or multi-state compact license in hand.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, TNCC, and PALS required at submittal (NIHSS and CPI preferred).
