Travel RN – Interventional Radiology

Shift: Days | 4×10s | 6:30 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks
 

Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN to provide care for inpatient and outpatient patients undergoing a variety of interventional procedures.

Requirements

• 1+ year RN experience accepted
• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience
• BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
• Neuro experience required, including:
  • Neurological thrombectomies
  • Aneurysm coiling
  • Carotid stenting
• ICU experience
• Moderate sedation experience
• Arterial line management
• Medication titration
• Chest tube management

Procedures

• Biopsies
• Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
• Kyphoplasty
• Port placement
• Diagnostic angiograms
• Interventional arterial & venous procedures
• IVC placement
• Venous thrombectomies
• Neurological thrombectomies
• Aneurysm coiling/rupture repair
• Paracentesis
• Thoracentesis

Unit Details

• 7 pre/post bays
• 2 procedure suites
• Ratio: 1:1 in procedure rooms; up to 1:3 in pre/post
• EMR: Cerner
• IV Pumps: Plum 360
• Monitors: Spacelabs
• Support includes Charge RN, RN and 2–3 Techs per room
• Floating only to other procedural areas when skillset applies

Schedule & Call

• Routine procedures: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM
• Emergency procedures available 24/7
• Typically, every 4th weekend and 1 weekday night of call, staffing dependent
• Holiday requirements apply equally to core and travel staff
• RTO requires Manager approval

Must Have: Neuro IR experience + BLS + ACLS + NIHSS + ICU experience + moderate sedation + A-line + medication titration + chest tube experience.
