Job Overview

Local & Travel: Both accepted; local candidates must reside within 75 miles

Seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week Long-Term Care assignment in Utica, New York. The CNA will provide direct patient care in an LTC setting and support residents with daily living needs while maintaining a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Support residents with mobility, personal care, and comfort needs.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team.
  • Follow established care plans and facility procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient care documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Float within the same building as needed.

Patient Population & Unit Information

  • LTC unit
  • Approximately 40 beds
  • Common diagnoses include multiple sclerosis (MS), orthopedic conditions, dementia, and memory care needs.
  • Specialty equipment includes wound vacs.
  • EMR experience: Point Click Care

Requirements

  • Active New York CNA license
  • Current BLS certification
  • At least 1 year of LTC facility experience
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Skills checklist matching the specialty
  • Up-to-date resume documenting relevant experience
  • RTO must be provided at submission
  • Driver’s license with address matching candidate demographics
  • Fingerprinting may be required
Additional Details Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue On call: No Block scheduling: Not guaranteed Floating: Required within the same building OT: Daily overtime after 24 hours and weekly overtime after 48 hours, based on applicable multiplier Start timing: Typical start date is within approximately 2 weeks after offer acceptance and completion of onboarding/credentialing requirements
